Product

RUTENIT is a modern complex-forming reagent designed for the leaching of precious metals (Au, Ag, Pt) from mineral, electronic and technogenic raw materials.

Compared to traditional cyanide-based processes, the reagent enables deeper mineral matrix activation and improved metal recovery efficiency.

Value for Industrial Operations

Higher Recovery

Improved metal recovery rates through optimized chemical interaction during leaching.

Environmental Responsibility

Reduced environmental risks and simplified waste management.

Easy Integration

Compatible with existing equipment without requiring major plant reconstruction.

Process Stability

Stable and predictable performance across long technological cycles.

Applications

  • Refractory ores and concentrates with sulfide and/or carbonaceous matrices: pyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, marcasite
  • Carbonaceous ores exhibiting preg-robbing behavior
  • Antimony-bearing minerals (stibnite Sb₂S₃)
  • Gold and silver tellurides
  • Fine and ultra-fine gold particles (<0.3 mm, including sub-micron fractions)
  • Technogenic materials: electronic boards, radio components and industrial residues containing Au/Ag/Pt

Technological Basis

Suitable for heap leaching, tank (vat) leaching and reactor systems, as well as integration into adsorption-leaching circuits. The process operates in an alkaline environment; dosage and operating parameters are determined through laboratory testing.

Gold Recovery Comparison

The global average recovery rate for gold leaching is approximately 60%. When applying the RUTENIT reagent, the projected recovery rate reaches 65–70%.

Unlike traditional cyanide technologies, the RUTENIT reagent enables deeper mineral matrix activation, increasing overall metal recovery rates.

Technology Approach

  • Reagent — active complex formation and dissolution of precious metals
  • Process Engineering — correct selection of processing flowsheet (grinding, oxidative preparation, leaching and adsorption regimes)
  • Environmental Responsibility — safe handling and compliance with PPE standards

Basic Recommendations

  • Begin with preliminary laboratory testing (bottle tests or column tests)
  • Monitor pH, conductivity and ORP; maintain balance of Au/Ag/Pt recovery
  • For carbonaceous ores, consider preg-robbing effects

Storage & Safety

  • Store in tightly sealed containers in a dry and cool location
  • The reagent is hygroscopic — avoid exposure to moisture
  • Keep separate from food products and other chemicals
  • Can be safely transported by road, rail, sea or air
  • Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes; in case of eye contact rinse with water and seek medical attention
